Riki and Haruna

Hi, everyone. Today, I’d like to talk about the relationship between Riki and Haruna. No. By all means, I do not ship them, and I don’t think I ever will. But to be fair, I know that so many Turboranger fans ship Riki and Haruna, and I respect that. In this article, I will first talk about the reasons why many people ship them together. To be honest, there are plenty of reasons and hints throughout the series that can strengthen this ship, so we will take some time to discuss that first. After that, I will give you my reason why I do not ship Riki and Haruna together. But hey, if you like Riki and Haruna and want them to end up together, that’s good. Don’t let me change your mind for that. I have my favorite ship, and you have yours. We can respect each other.

Anyway, here are some episodes that can strengthen the point of why Riki and Haruna could/should end up together:

-) Episode 2

When the five rangers cannot transform, Riki remains stubborn and decides to fight the enemy in his human form. When he gets injured, Haruna seems to be very concerned and tells him not to be reckless anymore.

-) Episode 4

When Riki, Youhei, Shunsuke, and Haruna eat their bento together, Haruna, who seems to be concerned about Daichi, asks about Daichi all of a sudden. While Youhei and Shunsuke seem to care about their bento more than Haruna’s concern, Riki agrees with her immediately.

-) Episode 12

The episode where Riki and Haruna dress up as a groom and bride. This scene alone can make every Riki-and-Haruna fan squeal.

-) Episode 19

Even though in this episode, the one who saves Haruna from Modoku Boma is Youhei and not Riki, Riki is still the one who gets most concerned about Haruna. Moreover, when Modoku Boma tries to poison Riki, Haruna comes to the rescue and gets stung instead.

-) Episode 24

The episode where Haruna is about to be transformed into a dog. When the puppy calls for help, Riki is the one who believes that the puppy knows what he is doing. He also believes that the puppy can understand him and will take him to where Haruna is.

-) Episode 30

Riki and Haruna are chosen to play Prince Charming and Cinderella. Moreover, when the mirror crashes, Riki is the one who rescues Haruna.

-) Episode 36

When Mika is about to attack Haruna, Riki attacks her first in order to protect Haruna.

-) Episode 40

When the five rangers split up to find Wataridori Boma, Riki and Haruna are in the same group.

-) Episode 45

When the five rangers are not able to transform, Haruna asks the guys to lend her their power, so she can transform and fight the enemy by herself. Riki is the only one who does not even try to forbid her. Rather, he supports her, encourages her, and believes in her. He also does not blame Haruna for what happens to them. He knows that people make mistake, and he also believes that Haruna will take the responsibility to fix everything.

Anyway, that is all for today. I know that this article is going to be long, so I will divide it into 2 parts. Next time, I am going to discuss why I do not ship Riki and Haruna.

Zodiac, Blood Type, and Curriculum

Hi, everyone. Today, I’d like to talk about the five rangers’ zodiac, blood type, and favorite curriculum. I have actually found this information on Japanese Wikipedia when I tried to do more research on the Turboranger episodes. This information is not included in the English version, so I thought I would share it here.

Concerning the zodiac and blood type, it seems that the five rangers’ zodiac and blood type are the same as the person who plays them. For example, Youhei’s zodiac, Pisces, is the same as Keiya Asakura who plays Youhei. His blood type, O, is also the same as Mr. Keiya’s. Moreover, Haruna’s zodiac, Capricorn, is the same as Yoshiko Kinohara who plays Haruna, and her blood type is B, which is also Mrs. Yoshiko’s blood type. (Yes, I searched for Youhei and Haruna first on purpose!) Having said that, we can assume that the five rangers’ birthday and blood type are actually the birthday and blood type of the person who plays their role.

Anyway, now that we’ve got that covered, let’s get to each ranger’s zodiac, blood type, and favorite curriculum.

-) Riki Honoo

Riki’s zodiac is Taurus and his blood type is O. Needless to say, these are also the zodiac and blood type of Kenta Sato who plays Riki.

In terms of curriculum, Riki is good at World History and Biology. His weakness is Math and English. I was actually surprised that Riki is actually good at something. I honestly thought that he is one of those lazy students who hate school. But it’s good to know that he is actually good at two subjects. Concerning his weakness, Math is definitely not a surprise, considering he takes Ms. Yamaguchi’s class lightly, and he actually eats during her class (episode 1).

By the way, in terms of curriculum, I think I can relate to Riki the most, because when I was in middle school, I was quite good at World History and Biology myself, but I always sucked at Math and English.

-) Daichi Yamagata

Daichi’s zodiac is also Taurus and his blood type is AB. These are also the zodiac and blood type of Yoshiaki Ganaha who plays Daichi. By the way, the blood type of the five rangers is quite interesting, because they have all kinds of blood type here (A, B, AB, and O).

Daichi is good at Politic Economy, but he sucks at English. To be honest, I cannot see a person like Daichi being good at Politic Economy, because he is more like a “History” guy, but I am just going to assume that even the five rangers’ favorite curriculum is based on what they (the person who plays the role) were actually good at when they were in high school.

-) Youhei Hama

Youhei’s zodiac is Pisces and his blood type is O. As I said earlier, these are also the zodiac and blood type of Keiya Asakura who plays Youhei.

In terms of curriculum, Youhei is good at English and his weakness is Classics. I am not really sure what Classics is. Is it Classical History? Or is it Classical Japanese? Either way, it seems that Youhei sucks at it. Here is a fun fact: Keiya Asakura who plays Youhei lived in England when he was little, so it is not a surprise that his English is very good! I was definitely not surprised that Youhei is good at English. In fact, I am pretty sure now that the five rangers’ favorite curriculum is actually taken from the person who plays the role.

-) Shunsuke Hino

Shunsuke’s zodiac is Virgo and his blood type is A. Again, these are the same as Jun’ichiro Katagiri who plays Shunsuke.

Shunsuke is good at Art and World History. I actually chuckled when I read this, because I cannot believe that Shunsuke is actually good at Art. It is obvious that it is not Shunsuke who likes Art, but Mr. Jun’ichiro. In Turboranger, Shunsuke plays around during the Art class (episode 37). If he truly loves art, he will respect the class and take it seriously. Moreover, when they visit an art museum, Shunsuke looks terrified instead of enjoying it. He also seems to be clueless about the art value, so it is kind of strange to see that he is actually good at Art. By the way, Shunsuke’s weakness is English, just like Riki and Daichi.

-) Haruna Morikawa

Haruna’s zodiac is Capricorn and her blood type is B. I mentioned it already that these are also the zodiac and blood type of Yoshiko Kinohara who plays Haruna.

Anyway, Haruna is good at all subjects, and she does not have a weakness at all. We can see that this is true, because Ms. Yamaguchi herself says that Haruna is a bright student (episode 16). If Haruna is the reflection of Yoshiko Kinohara, I’d be very pleased to know that she is both beautiful and smart. She is definitely someone everyone can look up to.

Favorite Turborangers

Hi, everyone. Today, I am going to rank my favorite Turborangers from top to bottom. It is about time, I guess. I know it is kind of obvious that my favorites are Youhei and Haruna, because I talk about them most of the times, but what about the rest? Well, we are going to discuss it today.

Before I get to the list, however, there are two things I would like to point out. First, everyone has their own favorite and opinion, so please respect it. My favorite may not be your favorite, and your favorite may not be mine, and it is okay. Second, I would like to point out that I do NOT hate any ranger in Turborangers, but since this is a rank, someone needs to be on the bottom, and it cannot be helped. Nonetheless, I do NOT hate the one on the bottom. Being on the bottom means that he is my least favorite, but it does not mean that I hate him.

Please bear those two things in mind as I reveal my list now:

Morikawa Haruna – Pink Turbo

Yes, Haruna is my absolute favorite. You may have thought that I love Youhei the most, and I can understand that. Actually, I am torn choosing between Haruna and Youhei, because they both are my favorites, and I love them equally, but if I have to pick one, I will choose Haruna, because she is the only girl, and I am a girl, so it is kind of obvious. Every girl likes to have a heroine they can look up to, and I am not an exception. For that reason, I will have to give Haruna the first spot.

Hama Youhei – Blue Turbo

Again, it is obvious that I love Youhei as much as I love Haruna. These two characters are probably the main reason why I love Turboranger the series altogether. Take these two characters out of the series, and I would probably stop watching it. Youhei is just simply handsome and charming, yet funny and unpredictable at the same time.

Hino Shunsuke – Yellow Turbo

It is not difficult for me to put Shunsuke right after Youhei, because I love his friendship with Youhei. I wrote an article about them here if you want to check it out. Obviously, I do not like Shunsuke as much as I like Haruna and Youhei, but he is a fine character. He is one of those characters that you cannot hate no matter what, but he is not attractive enough to charm me and take the first spot. He is funny, though, and I really like Shunsuke that way.

Yamagata Daichi – Black Turbo

Yamagata Daichi is not a “stand out” type of character. I think among the five rangers, Daichi is the coolest, calmest, and most “hidden” somehow. To be honest, until a few years ago, Daichi was still my least favorite ranger among the five Turborangers. However, as I watched the series again and again, his character had started to grow in me, and now, he has earned the fourth spot. He is pretty much the same as Shunsuke when it comes to being a character I cannot hate.

Honoo Riki – Red Turbo

To be honest, I used to like Riki so much that he became my favorite character among all. I even played Riki when my friends and I played a “Turborangers make believe” game back in the elementary school. However, as time goes by, I have come to like Riki less and less. Nonetheless, I would like to point out, again, that I do NOT hate him by all means. I like all the five rangers, and I like Riki as well. He is a good leader, and Turboranger would not be complete without his presence. It just happens that he is my least favorite among the five rangers.

Another point I would like to point out is that this list is not permanent, which means, I might change my mind in the future. Today, Riki is my least favorite, but tomorrow, he might be my first, second, third, or fourth favorite. Nothing is definite, and if I do change my mind in the future, I will update this list again.

So, that is my list of my favorite Turborangers. What about you?

Honoo Riki

Hi, everyone. Here is another sequel to my previous articles, Hama Youhei, Hino Shunsuke, and Morikawa Haruna. I wrote these articles last year, and yes, it has been a long time. However, I have not forgotten about it, so before I keep postponing it any longer, I better get on to it and write about it now.

For today’s article, we are going to focus on Honoo Riki, a.k.a. Red Turbo.

-) Riki is a typical lazy student, who does not pay attention to his teacher’s lecture (episode 1) and gets awful grades (episode 3), which is why his teacher, Ms. Yamaguchi, always targets him.

-) Riki is a natural leader (episode 1, episode 2), as if he is born to lead. Ever since he is transformed into Red Turbo, he naturally becomes the leader of the team. When things get tough, the other four rangers will depend on him right away, and they also look up to him.

-) Riki can be stubborn and reckless. Even though he loses the ability to transform, he will still fight until the end, even if it means risking his life (episode 2, episode 15, episode 46).

-) Riki is the captain of the school’s baseball club (episode 3), and he is also the ace pitcher of the team (episode 31).

-) Despite of his bad relationship with Ms. Yamaguchi, Riki still cares about her very much (episode 3, episode 16, episode 36, episode 46) and respects her (episode 12, episode 21). He must have realized that Ms. Yamaguchi is a responsible teacher, and she is just concerned about Riki’s future.

-) Riki has a strong instinct. He is usually the first to know when things go wrong (episode 4, episode 11, episode 14, episode 15, episode 24, episode 30).

-) Riki does not seem to have a girlfriend or love interest yet, but he is definitely interested in dating a girl, as he seems to be jealous when he sees his friend walks away with his girlfriend (episode 6).

-) Riki is nice to everyone. He is even willing to help a total stranger who runs into him by accident (episode 10).

-) Riki is not good at rock-paper-scissors, as he is the last one standing before he faces Haruna (which means, he has been defeated by Daichi, Youhei, and Shunsuke), but he is lucky enough to be able to beat her (episode 11).

-) Riki is kind to girls, starting from his teammate Haruna (episode 12, episode 24), his classmate Tsukikage Sayoko (episode 30, episode 31), Seelon (episode 41, episode 46), his enemy Kirika (episode 47), to his teacher Ms. Yamaguchi (episode 51). However, he will not hesitate to attack girls either if they hurt his comrades. For example, he throws a stick to Yamaguchi Mika when he sees that Mika is attacking Haruna (episode 36).

-) Riki may not be smart as a student, but he catches on the situation very quickly (episode 13, episode 15).

-) Riki may be a leader, but he will not always take the lead role. Rather, he will give his friends the opportunity to clean up their mess themselves (episode 14, episode 17, episode 45).

-) Riki is more interested in food than girls, or he is just plain hungry (episode 23), because in the end, he seems to be thrilled when he gets a kiss from one of the hula girls.

-) Unlike Youhei, Riki believes that dogs can understand people, as he asks the puppy Haruna saved to lead him and his friends to Haruna (episode 24).

-) Riki will not hesitate to risk his life to save those who are important to him (episode 25, episode 46).

-) Riki may not be as popular as Youhei when it comes to girls, but he is still quite popular, and Tsukikage Sayoko adores him very much (episode 31). He is also the one who gets chosen to play the role of “Prince Charming” instead of Youhei (episode 30).

-) Riki seems to believe that heart overcomes power (episode 45). It is not necessarily the strong who wins. Rather, those who fight for the ones they love are more powerful.

Turboranger’s Family – Honoo Riki

Hi, everyone. Today, we are going to play another “guessing game.” This time, the theme is not “love,” but “family.” For years, I have been wondering whether or not the five rangers have a family. I mean, come on. They are still in high school, but none of their families have ever attended their school activities, festivals, or even graduation. Even if they all live in their own apartment (which is impossible, by the way, since Youhei clearly lives in a house (episode 39)), their family should still attend their graduation, but none of their parents/family have shown up. This is weird, and I cannot repeat this enough: Turboranger the series desperately needs more details.

Anyway, since we do not know who the five rangers’ family is, we have the freedom to make a guess, based on the “hints” the series gives us, and here is my opinion on Riki’s family:

Based on the hints left throughout the series, it is easy to assume that Riki has at least one parent left, and I am guessing it is his mother. His father may still be alive too, but I cannot really tell, since we do not have enough clues to help us with it. Also, from episode 15, we know that Riki has a grandfather when he was little. However, whether or not the grandfather is still alive now when he is 18-year-old remains a question. Concerning his siblings, I cannot tell whether or not he has one either, but if he does, I assume he has younger sibling(s), which means, Riki is the oldest child in his family. Having said that, we are going to get into details now, starting from his parents to his siblings.

Concerning his parents, I am guessing that Riki still has at least his mother, if not both parents alive. However, even if he does have a father, the father must have been busy working, to the point that Riki is not close to him at all. For example, when a boy is close to his father, he will first come to his father to talk about something important. However, when Riki found a fairy in the forest when he was little, he would rather talk to his grandfather about it (episode 15). Moreover, a boy who is close to his father will usually spend time with him and do stuff together, like fishing or in Riki’s case, baseball. The father should be the one who taught Riki baseball, but anytime Riki has a baseball match, the father is not present (or he is, but the series does not bother to introduce him) (episode 31).

However, I can definitely tell that Riki still has a mother, and he even lives with his mother. For example, we know that Riki likes to bring bento boxes to school or sport activities (episode 1, episode 4). Judging from how lazy Riki is as a student, it is almost unlikely that he will wake up early every morning, just to fix him his own bento box. Moreover, when a boy shares his rice ball (made by his mother) with Riki, Riki says that a homemade food made by one’s mother is the best (episode 10). The reason he can say something like this is because his mother also prepares him his bento. Otherwise, how would he know that a mother’s homemade food is the best?

Concerning Riki’s siblings, my guess is that he is either the oldest child or the only child in the family. The fact that Riki is very responsible (despite of being lazy) proves that he is probably the oldest child in the family. A youngest child is usually spoiled and over-protected, so they might not be as responsible as how Riki is. However, I would not be surprised either if Riki is actually the only child. If he has sibling(s) to play with, he would not enter the forest by himself when he was only a little boy (episode 15), unless he ran off or got separated from his family.

So, that is my prediction on Riki’s family. Since the article turns out to be long, I have decided to give each ranger their individual portion. That way, we can get into more details.

Also, just for a note, I may or may not write this article in order, which means, Daichi, who is supposed to be the next one according to the right order, may not actually be the next person I choose. After all, Youhei and Haruna are my favorites, so please do not be surprised if I start with them next.

Turborangers’ First Love

Hi, everyone. For today’s article, we are going to play a “guessing game,” which means, this article is not a fact. Rather, it is more like my own humble opinion. After all, “love” is not the main theme in Turboranger, so we have the freedom to guess who exactly the five rangers’ first love, based on the episodes shown in the original series. Again, this article is only my opinion, so you may agree or disagree with it.

Honoo Riki:

To be honest, in Riki’s case, I have found it difficult to make a guess. He does not get a detailed past story like Youhei or Shunsuke, and he is nice to most girls he has encountered, like Haruna, Seelon, Sayoko, Ms. Yamaguchi, and even Kirika, his foe (though maybe the reason he is nice to Kirika is because he knows that Kirika is actually Tsukikage Sayoko). I think Riki is just a “perfect leader” type, who cares about his position as “Red Turbo,” so he does not want “romance” to get in between.

Yamagata Daichi:

Daichi is the coolest and most calm among the five rangers, so I am not surprised if he has never fallen in love until now. Though it is not impossible that he had a first love in the past, my guess is that he did not have any. Let us refer to episodes 23 and 34 for this. When a group of hula dancers are dancing in front of the five rangers, only Youhei is watching them while drooling (episode 23). In the meantime, Daichi and the others care more about food than the hula dancers. Moreover, when Yukari-san, the robber girl, kisses Daichi’s cheek, he still remains calm, though the kiss takes him by surprise a little (episode 34). I am going to guess that Daichi’s first love is Yukari-san. At least, that is how I want it to be. I hope Daichi will be willing to wait for Yukari-san, so they can be together again.

Hama Youhei:

Youhei’s first love is most likely his childhood friend, Risa (episode 7).

The story between Youhei and Risa happened when he was only 5-year-old (read my article here for more information), so it is highly impossible if he had another first love beforehand. Even 5-year-old is too young to fall in love in my opinion, so Risa may or may not be Youhei’s first love after all. However, Risa is one of the girls Youhei encountered in his childhood, and judging from how upset Youhei was when Risa moved out, it is most likely that Risa is his first love, indeed. Even if she is not, she is still someone Youhei has treasured for the past thirteen years.

Hino Shunsuke:

Shunsuke’s first love is “Sayo-chan,” a girl he encountered on the beach when she was bullied, and Shunsuke rescued her from her bullies (episode 35). In return, the girl gave Shunsuke her handkerchief to bandage Shunsuke’s wound. Unfortunately, they did not seem to have met each other again ever since, and when they have finally met for the second time, they have become each other’s enemy, as Sayo-chan’s true identity is Tsukikage Sayoko, a.k.a. Kirika. However, Shunsuke can never forget about Sayo-chan, which is why he keeps coming to the beach every year, just to keep the memory alive.

Morikawa Haruna:

Haruna’s first love is the “mysterious boy.” As I have mentioned repeatedly, Haruna might have a first love (episode 16) in the past. Youhei asks Haruna about it, but he cuts her off before she has a chance to answer his question. However, judging from how offended she is when Youhei says that she has never fallen in love, we can tell that she has indeed fallen in love before. The questions are when and how it happened.

My guess is that she fell in love for the first time when she was in elementary school. Most girls are starting to be interested in boys around this age. Concerning the boy she fell in love with, it was most likely her classmate, schoolmate, neighbor, or childhood friend. Moreover, judging from the fact that it is difficult for Haruna to fall in love again (episode 12), despite of her being surrounded with four handsome guys, means that she might have a bad experience of love in the past. For example, her first love might have moved somewhere and have forgotten about her since. The good news, though, Haruna is very much open to fall in love again if she can find the right guy (episode 12). Personally, I am just going to ship her with Youhei, but we will talk more about this next time.

Turborangers’ Past

Hi, everyone. Today, we will see a little bit concerning Turborangers’ past. To be honest, I am kind of disappointed that Turboranger the series did not reveal the main characters’ past as much as they could/should have. Needless to say, I am most curious about Haruna’s first love (I will probably write more about this in the future). I wish they would tell us more about it.

Instead of the main characters, the villains like Jinba, Jamin, Yamimaru, and Kirika seem to get a more thorough story. But anyway, let us take a look at the five rangers’ past. Among them, Youhei and Shunsuke seem to get a most detailed past story, while Daichi seems to be the most mysterious one of all.

Honoo Riki:

• He encountered a fairy in a forest and received the “flames of spirit” (episode 15).
• His gradfather told him about the forest and fairy after listening to Riki’s story (episode 15).

Yamagata Daichi:

• He encountered a fairy in a forest and received the “flames of spirit” (episode 15).

Hama Youhei:

• He befriended a girl named Risa when he was about 5-year-old (Youhei is a senior in high school, so he is about 18-year-old now, and the story about him and Risa happened 13 years ago), but Risa had to move involuntarily, due to her house being possessed by Yashiki Boma (episode 7). It is very likely that Risa was Youhei’s first love.

• He encountered a fairy in a forest and received the “flames of spirit” (episode 15).

• His favorite teacher gave him her precious bell on her wedding and told Youhei to give the bell to his “precious someone” (episode 26).

Hino Shunsuke:

• He encountered a fairy in a forest and received the “flames of spirit” (episode 15).

• He lost his little brother when he was in middle school (episode 18).

• He befriended a girl named Sayoko after he saved her from a group of bullies on the beach. After that, he would come to the beach every year, just to keep the memory alive. Later on, it is revealed that the girl is actually Kirika, one of Turboranger’s foes (episode 35).

Morikawa Haruna:

• She encountered a fairy in a forest and received the “flames of spirit” (episode 15).

• She might have a first love. Youhei asks Haruna if she had a first love (episode 16), but before she is able to answer the question, Youhei has already made fun of her. Judging from how offended she is when Youhei says that she has never fallen in love, I am pretty certain that she did have a first love. The only questions remain are when and how it happened.

Happy Earth Day!

Hi, guys. How are you all doing? I hope everyone is fine (^-^)

As you might have noticed, it’s been more than a year since the last time I updated this blog! I’m so sorry for the lack of updates, but my real life is getting kind of hectic, to the point that I can’t neglect it anymore. I wish I could have more times to update this blog, but sadly, I can’t.

However, as most of you have probably noticed, today is the Earth day! And you know what it means… I just can’t skip this day without writing an article, considering how highly related this day is to Turborangers.

Having said that, on behalf of our heroes, I would like to present to you some ways you can do to protect the Earth. Please remember that the possibility is endless. I’m just listing the ones I can think of here, but you can certainly do many more ways than one. The bottom line is, let’s protect our Earth together! 😉

Riki: “The way to protect the Earth? Hm… why don’t you talk to your parents or teachers, and ask them what possibilities do they have for you? Sharing your ideas with grown-ups is the simplest way you can do to help the Earth. Suppose, you have an idea, but you don’t know how to execute it. Your parents, teachers, and friends can help you! Don’t be shy to share your idea with others. Remember, many hands make light work. Good luck!”

Daichi: “One way to protect the Earth is by exercising. Why don’t you try to skip driving a car once in a while for a change? If your destination is not really far, you can ride a bicycle instead, jog, or even walk. The good news is, not only do you get to exercise, but you can also look around your neighborhood. One more thing, ask your friends to ride, run, or walk with you. Remember, running with friends is much more fun than running by yourself. Believe me, I know!”

Yohei: “You ask me for an advice? That’s easy! You can clean up your backyard, neighborhood, or even the beach. For example, you can pick up after yourselves or others. Look around you, and you’ll probably find something to pick up. Ask your friends to help you clean a bigger area. You’ll feel good when you’re done.”

Shunsuke: “Do you like kids? Me too! My advice is to gather up some children in your neighborhood and teach them about the Earth. Haruna: “My advice is for you to care for our animal friends. You don’t need to do a dangerous thing that could cost you your life like I did when I saved the puppy, but you can certainly do what you can do. For example, you can help your neighbor walk their dogs or sit their pets if your neighbor is away. You can also volunteer to care for the school’s pets. If you can’t do any of those, but you have your own pet, the simplest thing you can do is just love them. Please remember that animals have feelings like us. If you love them, they’ll certainly response to it.”

Professor Dazai: “As an inventor, my advice is simple and straightforward – recycle. I invented environment-friendly cars for the Turborangers, and you can certainly do it too! Uhm, maybe not a car, but you can definitely recycle some things and turn them into something new! The possibility is endless, but the most important thing is… have fun!”

Animal Lovers in Turborangers

Hi, everyone~

It’s not usual that I can update my blog this often, but I better write as many articles as I can now, since I’m not sure I’ll have more leisure time in the future.

Anyway, today, I want to cover something that I’ve been dying to write since last year – the animal lovers in Turboranger (^-^)
As an animal lover myself, this article is really precious to me, and it’s really fun to write. I hope you all will like it too.

• Morikawa Haruna

Let’s start with Haruna, since it’s pretty obvious that she’s an animal lover. On episode 24, she is almost hit by a car just to save a puppy, and she doesn’t even care about her wound. She’s more concerned about the puppy’s wound instead.

Moreover, on episode 45, she picks up the baby rabbit she finds inside the fairy gate very gently and pats it. She also puts it down gently, despite of the dangerous situation she’s in at the moment.

However, just like most girls, no matter how much she loves mammalians, she still hates bugs and amphibians, it seems, since she’s afraid of frogs (^_^;
Even so, I don’t think she has the heart to kill them. I think she just doesn’t want to go near them.

Anyway, that makes me wonder… Is Iwaya Yoshiko, the person who plays Haruna, an animal lover too? And is she also afraid of frogs in real life? (^^;

• Daisuke-kun

The boy who appears on episode 9 and the owner of the black horse, Kuro (which also means black). It’s obvious that there’s a special connection between him and Kuro, since he feels so lost and lonely when Kuro is hypnotized and horse-napped by a Boma beast.

Luckily, his love towards Kuro is deep enough to undo his spell. I guess animals do know who loves them genuinely and who loves them for his own advantages only.

• Hiroshi-kun and his family

Appear on episode 5. They are a nice family who are willing to volunteer and clean the river nearby.

Actually, I’m not sure if I can include them in this article, since they only clean the river for the sake of their grandfather, who wishes to see fish swimming in the river like the old times.
If it wasn’t for their grandfather, I don’t know if they would still clean the river. Well, they most likely would, but there was no guarantee, was there?

• Nagareboshi Hikaru

The owner of 2 pets, his loyal spider and Dragras, a bat-like monster. Most of you will probably not include him as an animal lover, since he never shows his affection to his pets throughout the series, but the fact that both of his pets are willing to die in his place proves that his animals love him so much.

Animals who return the favor are those who are loved by their owner, and I’m sure the spider and Dragras can see that deep within, Hikaru is a nice guy.

• Honoo Riki

I kind of feel guilty putting the leader in the end (^^; , but it can’t be helped, since there is no exact episode that shows him as an animal lover.

I just include him because on episode 24, he talks to the puppy Haruna saves. A true animal lover believes that animals can understand what he’s talking about.

Hi, everyone!

First of all, I want to apologize for the lack of update, but I’ve been busy with other things recently that I’ve barely got time to upload a new article, despite of the fact that I want it to so badly (- -“)
But today, the good news is, even if I am busy, I certainly can’t miss out the birthday of the leader – Satou Kenta (a.k.a. Honoo Riki – Red Turbo) himself, can I? (^-^)

Having said that, without further ado…

We wish you a very happy birthday, and we certainly hope that all your dreams may come true. Thank you for being the eternal Red Turbo for all your fans out there!

Anyway, another good news is, even though I don’t think I can visit this blog as often as I want it to – let alone update it, I don’t think I can take a lot of break this month. I will have to update at least 2 more articles, so please look forward to it (^-^)

• First, I just checked the visitors’ country list on my dashboard, and much to my surprise… the most visitors come from Japan!!! How shocking! I never imagined or expected it, but thank you! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Of course, the thank you part are for all my dear visitors. Thanks a lot for spending a little time to check my blog… m(_ _)m
• Second, I’m really sorry that I haven’t got a chance to update the 日本語 part lately (- -“) Now that I’ve got more visitors from Japan, I am thinking to start updating it again, but then, it all depends on my schedule. I will do my best to finish it sooner or later, though, so please wait for it.
